The Presidents Day Tournament of Champions is a wrap in Portland. Another outstanding event put on by Hoopsource with the top teams on the west coast and some of the top teams from the east coast meeting in the Rose City for the event.
The nations #1 team held serve and won the 2023 championship. Aden Holloway of CP3 was named co-MVP as they knocked off Dynasty Red in the championship game by 50-30 final score. On championship Monday, CP3 defeated WCE (Wright) in the quarterfinals and Grassroots Elite Canada in the semi-finals en route to the title.
Donald Chili Stephens of Dynasty Red was Co-MVP of the tournament leading his team to a runner up finish.

Team FOE from Dallas entered the tournament #1 in the nation to much scrutiny from the east coast as they felt the #3 ranked Team Thrill should have been at the top. We didn't have to wait long for that matchup as they met in pool play first game, FOE was victorious during that match pitting them opposite sides of the bracket on Championship Monday.
Team FOE had a tough road to go on Championship Monday opening the day against #10 ranked Fresno Swoosh Elite. FOE beat them 52-29 and Vegas Elite in the final four 64-24 before going to the finals where they were pitted to match Team Thrill but due to a forfeit we didn't seen the rematch. Thrill had travel arrangements and was unable to play.
In the semi-finals Thrll had an excitig 72-69 win over the New York Gauchos getting them back to the championship game and proving they are the best on the east coast.

The New York Gauchos and the Sacramento Yellow Jackets were the two best teams throughout the weekend. Both had blowout wins en route to the finals. The championship game was competitive but ended up another double digin win as the Gacuhos beat the YellowJackets 70-57 for the chip. In the semi-finals, The Gauchos beat Arizona Storm Black while the Yellow Jackets beat the Utah Titans.

The 2026 division was west coast loaded for the title. The final four pitted Arizona Monstarz Gold and Billups Elite while the other side was PDX Ballers and Team DoJo. The Monstarz had easy work of Colorado based Billups Elite with a 50-24 win. Team DoJo had a tougher time in a high scoring game knocking off PDX Ballers 67-59 to get to the finals.
In the finals, the Monstarz adjusted to the uptempo style of Team DoJo with no problem as they got the championship win 64-35 proving they are one of the top teams nationally.

Team Thrill entered as the favorites and ranked #8 nationally for the 2027 class. The final four seen Thrill defeat RMG Elite 54-35 to advance to the finals were they would matchup with a much bigger Team FOE team. FOE beat Young Gunz in their semi-final game 47-25.
Size or speed, what wins? At the Presidents Day TOC in Portland, the 2027 division seen speed win out. In a tight, highly contested battle, Team Thrill beat Team FOE 30-25 to take the title back across country to Baltimore.
