Akron Ohio is home to Lebron James, birthplace to Steph Curry and one could argue produce as much professional basketball talent as any area in the country. Malsi "PraKteZ" Pearson, 2026 point guard could be placing himself in line to be involved with the greats from the Akron area.
In 2018, Malsi proved to be one of the biggest winners nationally in the 2026 class. Malsi moonlighted with numerous teams in 2018 but his main team was Miller Factory. The 5th grade guard also seen action with the Mansfield Rebels, All Ohio Red, Louisville United, Go Hard in the Paint, Louisville Focus and Ohio Phenom Academy.
Malsi and Miller Factory won four tournaments in 2018. They won the New Albany Classic, Ohio Basketball Buckeye Classic, Coaches Association Championship and the Adidas May Classic in Indy. Pearson was named MVP of the Ohio Basketball Buckeye Classic.
Pearson can score from all levels. The first role of a point guard is to stop transition on defense and start the transition on the offense end. Pearson does both of those extremely well and can get in the paint and drop dimes as good as anyone in the country.
The year 2018 was a huge one for Pearson and we expect 2019 to be even more spectacular. Check out some of his work from 2018 below.
