Jasiah Cannady, 2026 point guard from Washington D.C. has been at the top of his class since first grade and is currently sitting at the #2 spot in the 2026 class rankings. Can Cannady, take over the top spot from Marcus Johnson? That remains to be seen, but the resume that Cannady has was more polished with his 2018 work and he has a legitimate case as the top player in the 2026 class nationally.

Cannady always plays up a grade or two and will continue to run with the nations premier program, Team Takeover. Cannady will b on the Team Takeover Oladipo team next season coached by Keith Thomas. The 2026 guard, playing up against 2025 competition has led his team to a final 8 appearance nationally each of the last four years.

2015 - AAU National Champions
2016 - AAU 3rd Place
2017- AAU 4th Place
2018 - AAU 7th Place

Cannady is a point guard who can run the show or score with the best of them. This year at the M.I.T. Cannady netted 38 points against top 20 ranked Team Loaded. He also scored 32 against D.C. Premier at the Team Takeover Tournament. We got to personally see Cannady light up the scoreboard last year at the Coast 2 Coast Washington D.C. Camp. Cannady played up from the 2026 division into the 2024 division and was un-guarable scoring 35 points and named All Star at the camp.

A standout basketball player, Cannady also dominates on the gridiro for the Watkins Hornets. He was defensive MVP last year as his team won the AYF National Championship.
