Sherod McCormick, 2027 guard out of North Carolina is the true definition of a point guard. Vocal leader on the court, McCormick sets the tempo for his team from the point position on the offensive and defensive ends of the court. A future star at the point position, what better program to learn from than the Chris Paul sponsored CP3 Academy Elite program. McCormick was ranked #20 in our last 2027 player rankings. McCormick led his team to a national #2 ranking in our final poll for the 2018 season.

McCormick is a pass first point guard from the point position. Smaller guards who are elite point guards, run the team, knock down the open three and shoot a high percent from the foul line all qualities McCormick possess at a young age. In March, McCormick led his squad to the Agame Spooky Nook championship scoring 20 plus against then #1 Train 2 Win. En route to that title they defeated New World, Team Take Over, and the NY Rens.

McCormick was MVP of the Southern Spotlight but the biggest accomplishment of the season was what he and his teammates did in July. McCormick and CP3 Academy Elite won the Big Foot Las Vegas Classic with wins over then the top 2 teams in the nation, North Coast Blue Chips and Oklahoma Chaos Elite.

Be on the lookout for McCormick in our new 2027 player rankings and going into the 2019 season. Here is McCormick putting in work this off season below.
