For two years, Campbell Elite has seen themselves in the final Elite 8 or beyond of every big national level tournament in the southwest, but this weekend at The Finals in Dallas they finally broke through and won the the championship. A team with a lot of talent and great coaching staff, a team effort helped them run the gauntlet to the title. With everyone playing their part, Cameron Lomax, stood out among everyone and cemented himself as one of the top players nationally for the 2026 class.

The Finals featured over thirty teams, ten plus which were nationally ranked and a ton of nationally ranked players but Lomax stood out among them all. Lomax was arguably the best player at The Finals in regards to his class across all division.

Lomax is a long wing for his age with the ability to do it all. A lock down defender who anticipates off the ball as well as anyone we have seen whether it is getting in passing lanes or coming from the weak side to alter or block shots.

Offensively, Lomax is young so obviously has to stay improving but he can do it all right now for his grade. Lomax has a tight handle and quick explosive step off a stationary position. If he gets a dribble down to the rim he is getting to the basket and finishing. Most impressive thing about Lomax is his high motor. When the game gets intense, he matches the level takes his game to another level. The kid is a competitor.

Lomax will for sure find his name inside the national rankings when updated again, a lot closer to the top than the bottom. We can't wait to continue to follow the progress of the Texas native.
